Description Family Solanaceae Originating from Peru and Chile A vigorous, scrambling evergreen climber (semi-evergreen in severe winters) with dark green leaves up to 12 cm long and very slightly fragrant, deep purple/blue flowers with contrasting yellow stamens producing a non-stop flower show, from early summer to late autumn. May flower throughout the year in a mild winter but more abundantly during the summer months. Vigorous enough to quickly disguise an ugly fence or shed – allow it to clamber over the roof for a spectacular display. Grow in moist but well-drained soil in sun/part shade.
